In a rare public appearance, The Showman of Sock Puppets, Mr. Fabulous, will presenthis dazzling cabaret of song, dance and spectacular costumes that has mystified audiences everywhere. An entertainer who describes himself as a bit of Liberace, Elvis, and Elmo,
Mr. Fabulous gives a memorable performance at every show. PLUS - no Mr. Fabulous concert is complete without some stellar person being called onstage to join him. Celebrities clamor for the opportunity to sit backstage and watch Mr. Fabulous in performance. You never know who will be there.
Most fans will arrive early, enjoy the Festival Day and take a seat down front before 8:30PM to enjoy Mr. Fabulous. Bring a blanket and enjoy the night under the stars with Mr. Fabulous! |

Minikin Puppet Productions
We are pleased to introduce Nancy Mitchell! Her debut at our festival includes her performance "Nancy Mitchell and Friends: Conversations with Myself" - it's rumored that a very special guest - Pinocchio - may appear. Nancy will also offer a rare workshop: "The Secrets of Ventriloquism". This workshop is open to children of all ages. A small materials fee of $10 per person allows participants to bring home a Blabber Bird - their very own Ventriloquist puppet! Parents are welcome to accompany their children, either as a participant or as a guardian. |

Get in the spirit with our Three Pre-Festival Puppet Making Workshops
WHEN: Sundays May 16th, 30th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Making Shadow Characters Join Maria Bodmann for this two (2) hour workshop. Learn how to make a simple Balinese style shadow puppet! Children 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult.
WHEN: Sunday May 23rd from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Make a Trashy Puppet Join Johanna Smith, the diva of trashy puppets, and create your own puppet out of recycled materials. Johanna will use methods she developed with the LA organization Trash for Teaching |
